Sernhac

The village of Sernhac is worth a little detour. Peaceful and charming, it benefits from remarkable architectural curiosities. In the village you will find tunnels (galleries measuring 3m x 2m) dug by the Romans around the middle of the 1st century AD. They served as a passage for the conduit of the Pont du Gard aqueduct.

Gard's Bridge Wonder of the South of France


At 10 minutes by car from our estate, the Pont du Gard is the majestic witness to the greatness of the Roman Empire. This aqueduct bridge is one of the most visited monuments in the South of France. It is a feat of construction that appeals to young and old alike.

The 1st Duchy of France Discover Uzès

The small town of Uzès is one of the essential visits of a tourist stay in the Gard. Famous for its duchy, the cathedral, the Place Fenestrelle or its garden, the medieval city has the charm of these towns with a rich past. Uzès is very popular for its shaded streets, its Place aux Herbes, where you will love to relax for a moment, on a bar or restaurant terrace. The city is also a great place to discover local gastronomy.

Less than 30 minutes by car from Domaine des Escaunes, the town of Nîmes, prefecture of the Gard department, is world-famous for its buildings dating from the Empire Roman, in an exceptional state of conservation. You will not fail to visit the majestic arenas of Nîmes, the Maison Carrée and the Magne Tower. Many also appreciate the Fontaine gardens and the Temple of Diana
