Sernhac
The village of Sernhac is worth a little detour. Peaceful and charming, it benefits from remarkable architectural curiosities. In the village you will find tunnels (galleries measuring 3m x 2m) dug by the Romans around the middle of the 1st century AD. They served as a passage for the conduit of the Pont du Gard aqueduct.

Less than 30 minutes by car from Domaine des Escaunes, the town of Nîmes, prefecture of the Gard department, is world-famous for its buildings dating from the Empire Roman, in an exceptional state of conservation. You will not fail to visit the majestic arenas of Nîmes, the Maison Carrée and the Magne Tower. Many also appreciate the Fontaine gardens and the Temple of Diana.
