The history of the Domain

Royal Relay

The Domaine was, from the beginning in the 16th century, an inn / coaching inn where lodged François I and his second wife Eleonore of Austria, Catherine de Medici and the future King Henri IV, as well as Louis XIII accompanied by Cardinal de Richelieu.

In 1564, King Charles IX spent the night in his carriage parked in the courtyard. Michel de Nostredame, better known by his Latin name of Nostradamus, was, according to the chronicle, for a few days the host of the inn. Over the centuries, the estate knew various destinations and served as a wine farm before being lovingly restored with respect for authenticity.
